inauguration bibles and freemasonry -- 2009 and 2013

before the rumors start...
In 2011 I wrote up an email in response to the LIE that obama was sworn in on a koran...
Which is really silly, and you will see why as you finish this email.

========

Here's the chain letter cracked open.

When Obama was sworn into office, "he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalency to our Bible, but very different beliefs)."
here's what really happened this year, and in 2009:
cnn - president barack obama takes historic oath - take 01
Added on January 20, 2009
Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States.

msnbc - president barack obama takes historic oath - take 02, no bible, no koran
(it was redone because they botched the oath on live tv.)

DUIN: Masonic rituals live on
By Julia Duin-The Washington Times Thursday, January 15, 2009

President-elect Barack Obama’s swearing-in Tuesday will incorporate several elements out of America’s Masonic past.

One-third of the signers of the Constitution, many of the Bill of Rights signers and America’s first few presidents (except for Thomas Jefferson) were Freemasons, a fraternal organization that became public in early 18th-century England.

Although it became fabulously popular in America, at one time encompassing 10 percent of the population, Pope Clement XII condemned Freemasonry in 1738 as heretical. The latest pronouncement was issued in 1983 by then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger - now Pope Benedict XVI - who called Masonic practices “irreconcilable” with Catholic doctrine.

Still, as the first president, George Washington had to come up with appropriate rituals for the new country. He borrowed many of them from Masonic rites he knew as “worshipful leader” of a lodge in Alexandria.

His Masonic gavel is on display at the Capitol Visitor Center. Until this inauguration, Washington’s Masonic Bible - on which he swore his obligations as a Freemason - was used for the presidential oath of office. President-elect Barack Obama will use Abraham Lincoln’s Bible.

The worshipful master administered the Masonic oaths. This was adapted to the president vowing to serve his country in an oath administered by the top justice of the Supreme Court.

The Inaugural Bibles
January 21, 2013 4:16PM

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden used four Bibles when they took their official oaths on Sunday and ceremonial oaths on Monday. The Bibles have historical significance, both personally and politically.

“The Robinson Family Bible:” This is the Bible the president used on Sunday, for the official swearing in. “The Bible was a gift from the First Lady’s father, Fraser Robinson III, to his mother, LaVaughn Delores Robinson on Mother’s Day in 1958. Mrs. Robinson was the first African American woman manager of a Moody Bible Institute’s bookstore and she used this Bible regularly.”

The Lincoln Bible: One of two Bibles Obama used on Monday, this was used by President Abraham Lincoln at his first Inauguration. Obama chose it for his first swearing-in four years ago. “The Lincoln Bible is part of the collections of the Library of Congress and was originally purchased by William Thomas Carroll, Clerk of the Supreme Court, for use during Lincoln’s swearing-in ceremony on March 4, 1861. The Bible itself is bound in burgundy velvet with a gold-washed white metal rim around the three outside edges of both covers, and all of its edges are heavily gilded.”

“The King Bible:”
The other Bible Obama used Monday, it was the civil rights leaders’s “travelling Bible.” “An avid reader who was constantly on the road, Dr. King typically traveled with a selection of books that included this Bible. It was used for inspiration and preparing sermons and speeches, including during Dr. King’s time as pastor of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama.”

“The Biden Family Bible:” Vice President Joe Biden took the oath on this one. It is “five inches thick, has a Celtic cross on the cover and has been in the Biden family since 1893.

“He used it every time he was sworn in as a U.S. Senator and when he was sworn in as Vice President in 2009. His son Beau used it when he was sworn in as Delaware’s attorney general.”

So, what's the point?
If someone says it was not a bible or it was a koran, they don't know what they are talking about.
They swear on the bible as an insult to God, period.

I mean really.
