I should have used the term participate instead of activism.
Activism is another level of participation that goes beyond simply voting,
However, I've always believed that voting was a soft form of resistance.
As apposed to activism which is a mild resistance, or bombing abortion clinics which is a hard resistance.
I'm not down with any of that.

I'll get into that in a bit, but first I wanted to point out something.
David's recent two part sermon on voting is pretty consistent with his sermonette on being an Ambassador: "Who are you?" #1471A.
He starts out by asking:
"Who are you?"
"Are you an Ambassador of Jesus Christ?"
At one point he's painfully clear about this:
"None of God's servants tried to beat the system..."
"We're not Democrats, we're not Republicans, we're not Reformed party members, we're not Independents, we're not Libertarians..."
Then right after that he says this:
"Everyone of these systems, whether you want to believe it or not, people that are running them, are in Satan's system."
It's pretty simple really, out of all of the people on this planet, God shares his entire plan to us, the literal chosen few.
Not even the Jesuits know his plan, we do.

or
"We don't want our tax dollars fueling sin!!!"
Jesus was showing dealing with religion and politics/government (Babylonian Society) in the correct way. He never resisted, unless it would have caused him to sin, and he would flee the scene when he was supposed to.
Matthew 10:16
