The Voting Fraud (that did not happen) - 07.08.2013

I'm not doing a lot of commentary on this one, READ the sourced material, and understand that you cannot claim the elite have turned most of this nation socialist and then also claim that they didn't vote for a socialist president.

Most of what people are claiming is "proof' or "evidence" has simply been misinformation to make Christians look completely retarded.

If you want to believe that Obama rigged the election after seeing of the following then do that.

"We have always had dense urban corridors that are extremely Democratic," political science professor Jonathan Rodden says. "You are looking at the extreme end of it in Philadelphia." It happened in 2008, too: In 57 divisions, not one vote was cast for John McCain.

If We Lose, It Was Stolen
Why conservatives still think urban voter fraud rigged the election.

Some Republicans can't understand how Romney could have gotten so few votes in black communities

The New Black Panther Party was there, on cue. Standing outside of the 4th precinct in Philadelphia’s 14th ward, there was Jerry Jackson, a member of the leather-loving fringe group who’d signed up to be a poll watcher for the Nov. 6 election.

Fox News was there, too. In 2008, the network spent hours playing and replaying a video of two Panthers glaring at a conservative poll-watcher as he filmed them. This year the network sent its own reporter, who tried to interview Jackson. “Have you been around a lot today? What's your purpose of being here?” He said nothing. The network switched to video of the 35th ward, where people waiting in a school to vote were walking past a mural of the president, even after Republicans sued to get it covered up. “This remained untouched for hours as people voted!” said reporter Eric Shawn.

Hours later, the network called Pennsylvania for Barack Obama. Days later, the network is still combing for evidence that Philadelphia—and by extension, the whole state—was stolen through Democratic chicanery. It was “mathematically impossible,” according to Sean Hannity, that 59 Philadelphia precincts had registered no votes for Mitt Romney. “There is cheating going on in our elections!” The story and the sentiment spread beyond Fox. Defeated Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller tweeted about the precinct story, and grumbled that it “sounds like western Alaska, circa 2010.”

The Types of People Who Voted for Obama
REBECCA GREENFIELD 31,899 ViewsNOV 7, 2012

After months of punditry and polling trying to figure out who still wanted Barack Obama running the show and who didn't, last night's results give us insight into the types of people who voted for his re-election. Some of the demographics like the Black, Latino and young people votes, didn't surprise. Obama got 93 percent of black voters (representing 13 percent of the electorate), 71 percent of Latinos (representing 10 percent), and 60 percent of young voters. Thanks to the GOP's rape apologist caucus among other generally bad for women things, he also not too surprisingly won the female vote, getting 53 percent of women voters. But, other generalized groups of people went for the president that we wouldn't necessarily have expected to go for Obama.

The Richest Counties in America

Going against the pundit stereotype, Obama won the country's richest counties, according to Reuters's Felix Salmon, who posted this on his personal Tumblr.

Throughout this election we heard a narrative about the nation's wealthy being turned off by Obama because he made them feel guilty for being rich. But at least in those richest counties, that didn't matter. Part of this breakdown might have to do with education? Obama also won the college educated vote, getting 53 percent in Virginia, where three of those six richest counties are located.

High Unemployment Areas

One would think states with higher unemployment would see Obama's economic policies as failures, but more states (and electoral votes) with unemployment above 8 percent went for Obama, according to this graphics from Marketplace.

More States with lower unemployment, who one would expect would view Obama's policies as helpful to their plight, went for Romney, giving him more states and electoral votes. Though, it's interesting to look at the swing states in that mix, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Ohio all with low unemployment rates, leaned Obama.

Very Few White People

Obama won as many white votes as Michael Dukakis, notes Slate's Matt Yglesias. Yet, he still managed to win. Here's how:

As you can see, not only has the nation got a lot less white, overall. But the democratic ticket is more popular with black and Hispanic populations than it was in 1988. (By the way that chart, via Yglesias, should say 1988, not 1992.) The pundits are saying the Latino vote in particular has the Republicans rattled. Face of the Latino Republicans, Senator Marco Rubio this morning already conceded that point.

I am committed to working on upward mobility policies that will ensure people who work hard and play by the rules can rise above the circumstances of their birth and leave their children better off. The conservative movement should have particular appeal to people in minority and immigrant communities who are trying to make it, and Republicans need to work harder than ever to communicate our beliefs to them.

A Majority of Jews

With Israel in support of a Republican administration and big donor Sheldon Adelson giving a huge donation to Romney, Obama still managed to get a majority of the Jewish vote. He got 69 percent of that demographic, according to an exit poll by CNN. If accurate, that is a full 10 percent lower than what he received in 2008. But he still can claim to hold majority favorability with the historically liberal group.

‘White guys’ voted for Obama, too
By Jonathan Capehart

Democrats are crowing rather loudly about how Latinos, African Americans, women and young people came out to vote in numbers that helped keep President Obama in the White House. As well they should. The demographics of this nation are changing and Democrats are benefiting from it. But a friend of mine e-mailed this morning with a legitimate worry.

“I really worry about not recognizing the ‘white guys’ who did vote for Obama and made a difference in the election,” the self-described middle-age, upper-income, highly curious and vocal African American woman from Colorado wrote. “I know tons of them of all ages, income levels, political persuasions and sexual orientations. Just think it is short-sighted if we don't acknowledge [them], starting with the campaign team.”

Joshua Keirsey, a member of the United Steelworkers union, canvasses for President Obama's reelection campaign in Steubenville, Ohio, in October. (T.J. Kirkpatrick - BLOOMBERG)

“Overall the messages seem to be Latinos, Blacks and women voted for the President. A great message for the other side, but an inaccurate message for the President,” she continued in a subsequent e-mail. “He pulled from all kinds of Americans, rich, poor, middle class, all Americans. Like the President, who is half white and half Black, which also seems to go unrecognized, his campaign reflected his DNA and his lifetime experience.”

Mitt Romney was the preferred candidate of white men. He won their vote over Obama by a 25-point margin.Still, there were plenty of white men who voted for the president. In fact, plenty of white people in general voted for Obama. According to a nifty chart from The Post’s polling unit, the president’s white support (39 percent) was the same as it was for Bill Clinton when he was elected in 1992.

Percent of White vote won by Obama 2012, by state
byplf515

One recurring theme is that a lot of non-White people voted for Obama. But so did a lot of White people. After all, you can't win all of New England without getting a lot of White folk to vote for you.  I got to wondering what proportion of White voters voted for Obama in each state.

Simplifying assumptions I had to make some assumptions. I assumed that Obama won 95% of the Black vote in every state, and 75% of the non-White, non-Black vote in every state. These seem reasonable and modest changes in the numbers do not make big differences in the results

The table is below the Kos Croissant, and thanks to Palantir for help with the formatting.

In each row there is the state abbreviation, the proportion White, Black and Other (per the census) the proportion Obama won (as of yesterday), then my estimate of the Obama support that came from Blacks (05% of the proportion Black), others (75% times prop. other) and the remainder. Finally, the proportion of White voters who voted Obama.

Except for Hawaii, the states where Obama did best among Whites are all in New England.  One interesting thing is that two states that Obama won narrowly (CO and NV) have rapidly growing Latino populations. Another is that GA could easily be in play next time.

By JAKE MILLER / CBS NEWS/ November 12, 2012, 3:58 PM
Romney earned zero votes in some urban precincts

President Obama's victory over Mitt Romney in last Tuesday's presidential election was driven, in part, by the president's strength in urban areas, where robust support cushioned the incumbent against electoral deficits in rural America. But almost a week after the election, it is now becoming clear just how lopsided President Obama's victory was in some cities: in dozens of urban precincts, Mitt Romney earned literally zero votes.

The Phildadelphia Inquirer reported today that, in 59 precincts in inner-city Philadelphia, the GOP nominee received not a single vote. And according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, nine precincts in Cleveland returned zero Romney votes.

At first blush, it seems almost impossible: how, even in some of the most heavily Democratic strongholds in the country, could a major party's presidential candidate fail to earn even one vote?

Incredulous Republicans might be tempted to indict voter fraud as a culprit - in reaction to the numbers, Steve Miskin, a spokesman for Republicans in Pennsylvania's state legislature touted the state's voter ID law, which did not apply to last Tuesday's election, and avowed a need to "continue ensuring the integrity of the ballot."

But, as is often the case, the reality is less salacious than the conspiracy theory - a consequence of demography, not electoral shenanigans.

Most big cities are heavily Democratic to begin with, and geographic patterns of racial segregation may yield an even more one-sided electoral result in certain areas than in the city as a whole.

Obama's dominance was mostly confined to largely African-American areas of West and North Philadelphia. In the third division of Philadelphia's 28th Ward, for example, 94 percent of the residents are black, and the 2010 census recorded only seven white residents. Voter registration lists showed only 12 registered Republicans in the division, none of whom voted for Romney or responded to the Inquirer's requests for comment.

Perhaps the GOP should have seen it coming - recall the frosty reception Romney received at a West Philadelphia charter school in May.

Voting Conspiracies
Posted on January 17, 2013

Q: Is it true that there were more votes than voters in Wood County, Ohio, and St. Lucie County, Fla., and that Obama lost every state with photo ID laws?

A: No. A viral email that makes those claims is bogus. It fabricates Ohio and Florida results. Also, Obama won four of the 11 states with photo ID laws.

Dear angry white conservatives: Chill out
All is not lost with Romney's defeat -- but it may be time to tune into a different news station
By Chauncey DeVega, Alternet

Dear angry white conservatives: Chill out

Dear angry white conservatives who are mourning Mitt Romney’s loss,

If Fox News is any indication, many of you are dismayed, upset, and befuddled by Mitt Romney’s loss to President Obama. Some of these feelings are normal. Politics is tribal. When your team loses, a bit of sadness is expected.

However, some white folks are acting out in some very unhealthy ways. Young white conservatives participated in a near riot at the University of Mississippi, where they hurled rocks at bystanders, used racial slurs, and burned Obama and Biden campaign signs. Other angry white folks used the Internet to send out racist messages and pictures on Twitter as an act of protest and anger at the country’s re-election of its first Black president. I believe that these events are malicious outliers.

Many white people who voted for Mitt Romney are simply scared and angry that a “Black socialist Muslim atheist Communist usurper” was re-elected President of the United States.

Eighty-nine percent of Mitt Romney’s voters were white. Fifty-nine percent of the white vote went to Mitt Romney. He also won the majority of white voters in every age and gender group. We live in a country that is racially segregated. The United States is also very polarized politically. At present, Americans are not talking to each other across the dividing lines of race, class, and ideology.

....

White people run America. More specifically, white men are the most powerful group of people in the United States. Yes, people who look just like you remain in charge. White men control every major social, political, economic, and cultural institution in the United States. With few exceptions, white men are the CEOs of every Fortune 500 company.

White men control both Hollywood and the mass media. There, approximately 95 percent of the most important positions as writers, directors, advertising, producers, show runners, executives, and the like are held by white men.

This is a great advantage in a country where white men make up 30 percent of the U.S. population.

The Truth:

Everyone who voted, voted for personal self-interest reasons, and if you say you didn't after already saying you did, you are lying, plain and simple.
Those who complain about the election sound like sore losers that claim every game where their team lost was rigged.

(The Cowboys lose, and I don't blame the officials, they just suck)

If you can't take the heat, don't vote and put your faith in a corrupt as all hell system.
