Mercedes Benz Super Bowl Ad - stuff I noticed - 02.05.2013

Vigilant Citizen did a really good break down of the MB Ad here:

The 2013 Mercedes Super Bowl Commercial and its Occult Message
http://vigilantcitizen.com/latestnews/the-2013-mercedes-super-bowl-commercial/

====

However, I think there's more to look at in this ad...
first thing I noticed, was where this meeting takes place:

Is this New Orleans?
I know the Super Bowl is there, but so is a lot of Voodoo.
This could be nothing, I'm just speculating on that point.

====

This is kind of a quick breakdown, hope it makes sense:
1) the man in the bar lusts after the car
(there's a scripture about this somewhere in the bible , I just know it, LOL)

2) the devil appears, enticing him with more than the car, essentially showing him a vision of what will happen.
(reminded me of what Satan did when he tempted Jesus, and Eve in the Garden)

3) the man, after seeing these things, takes one more look at the contract, then notices the price of the car
("counting the cost" if you will)

4) then he essentially "resists the devil" and then Satan flees

The Last Temptation of Christ

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bb/The_Last_Temptation_of_Christ_poster.png

The Last Temptation of Christ is a 1988 fictional drama film directed by Martin Scorsese. It is a film adaptation of the controversial 1953 novel of the same name by Nikos Kazantzakis. It stars Willem Dafoe as Jesus Christ, Harvey Keitel as Judas Iscariot, Barbara Hershey as Mary Magdalene, David Bowie as Pontius Pilate, and Harry Dean Stanton as Paul. The film was shot entirely in Morocco.

Like the novel, the film depicts the life of Jesus Christ and his struggle with various forms of temptation including fear, doubt, depression, reluctance and lust. This results in the book and film depicting Christ being tempted by imagining himself engaged in sexual activities, a notion that has caused outrage from some Christians. The movie includes a disclaimer explaining that it departs from the commonly accepted Biblical portrayal of Jesus' life, and is not based on the Gospels.

The Boondock Saints

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1b/The_Boondock_Saints_poster.jpeg

The Boondock Saints is a 1999 action film written and directed by Troy Duffy. The film stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus as fraternal twins, Connor and Murphy McManus, who become vigilantes after killing two members of the Russian Mafia in self-defense. After both experience an epiphany, the brothers, together with their friend (David Della Rocco), set out to rid their home city of Boston, Massachusetts of crime and evil; all the while being pursued by FBI Special Agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe).

Twin brothers Connor and Murphy McManus attend Mass at a Catholic Church, where the priest mentions the fate of Kitty Genovese. Later, while celebrating St. Patrick's Day with friends, the two get into a bar brawl with three Russian mobsters who want to close the pub and take over the land it is built on. The two brothers try to reason with the mobsters, but the latter respond with violence. The next morning, two of the Russians seek revenge on Connor and Murphy, who kill the mobsters in an act of self-defense.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4e/Boondock_2_poster.JPG

After the McManus brothers, Connor and Murphy (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) and their father, Noah (Billy Connolly), assassinated Joe Yakavetta, they fled to Ireland. Eight years later, their uncle Sibeal (Mairtin O'Carrigan), a priest, arrives to inform them that a renowned Boston priest was murdered by a mysterious assassin who attempted to frame the Saints by using their ritual assassination style. In response, the brothers dig up their old gear and weapons and depart for the United States.

Daybreakers

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/Daybreakers_ver2.jpg

Daybreakers is a 2009 science-fiction horror film written and directed by Australian filmmakers Michael and Peter Spierig. The film takes place in 2019, where a plague has turned most of the planet's human population into vampires. A vampiric corporation sets out to capture and farm the remaining humans while researching a blood substitute. Lead vampire hematologist Edward Dalton's (Ethan Hawke) work is interrupted by human survivors led by former vampire "Elvis" (Willem Dafoe), who has a cure that can save the human species.

In 2009, a plague caused by a vampire bat has transformed most of the world's human population into vampires. This event formed a world completely dominated by vampires. As vampires are incapable of aging or dying, but are unprotected against the sunlight or any UV lights, the whole vampire world is active at night. Human numbers quickly dwindle and the need for blood becomes desperate, while a global war rages between the surviving humans and vampires. When deprived of blood for extended periods, vampires degenerate into "subsiders," psychotic bat-like creatures. Humans are captured and harvested in laboratory farms while scientists research a synthetic blood substitute to satisfy vampires' blood hunger.

They made the Roman Numeral thing as almost a joke, M M X III = 2013

2013
2013 (MMXIII) is a common year that started on a Tuesday and is the current year. In the Gregorian calendar, it is the 2013th year in the CE and AD designations; the 13th year in the 3rd millennium and the 21st century; and the 4th of the 2010s.

Also, I used google translate to confirm the following:

diabolus et demons = diabolus and demons

Gorches: Here’s your Super Bowl commercial studs and duds
By Steve T. Gorches 648-3141 or sgorches@post-trib.com Follow on Twitter @SteveTGorches February 4, 2013 10:22PM

 3. Mercedes Benz CLA — This one had been hyped for a couple weeks, and it wasn’t worth it as a man in a restaurant looked at a billboard going up across the street for the new car, then actor Willem Dafoe shows up playing the devil, and offers a contract for his soul in exchange for the CLA. Then he looked to the billboard and saw the price of $29,000 and said no thanks to Dafoe. That’s still too expensive for me. The interesting part is the words “Sigilla Posvere Magister Diabolus et Daemones” on the contract. It literally means “ Master seal of the Devil and demons.” But that’s not enough to make me like it.

more on the latin:

Demon

Demon is often confused with devil as both qualify the evil spirits or fallen angels. The precise distinction between the two terms in ecclesiastical usage may be found in the decree of the Fourth Lateran Council:

"Diabolus enim et alii daemones" (The devil and the other demons), means that the chief of the demons is called the devil, also found in Matthew 25:41, "the Devil and his angels". This distinction is observed in the Vulgate New Testament, where diabolus represents the Greek diabolos and in almost every instance refers to Satan himself, while his subordinate angels are described, in accordance with the Greek, as daemones or daemonia.  It does not  indicate a difference of nature; for Satan is clearly included among the daemones in James 2:19 and in Luke 11:15-18.
