In allowing the deal to go forward, Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas sided Monday with Sterling's estranged wife, Shelly Sterling, who negotiated the record sale after the NBA banned the 80-year-old billionaire for making offensive remarks about blacks.

Timeline of the Distraction:
On April 25, 2014, TMZ Sports released a recording of a conversation between Sterling and a female friend, V. Stiviano.
In the recording from September 2013, a man confirmed to be Sterling was irritated over a photo Stiviano had posted on Instagram, in which she posed with Basketball Hall of Fame player Magic Johnson. Sterling told Stiviano: "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people", and, "You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want", but "the little I ask you is ... not to bring them to my games."
> The "people" are outraged, they want justice!
> The NBA plays along, because they need to continue the money making distraction.
On April 29, 2014, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that Sterling had been banned from the league for life and fined $2.5 million, the maximum fine allowed by the NBA constitution.
While his wife said he had authorized her to negotiate the sale of the team, Sterling was later "disavowing" her actions.
On May 29, Shelly Sterling reached a deal, pending league approval, to sell 100% of the Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. The NBA subsequently cancelled its hearing to consider stripping the Clippers from the Sterlings. Shelly also agreed not to sue the NBA and to indemnify the league against other suits related to the case, including any initiated by her husband. The following day, Donald Sterling sued the NBA for $1 billion, alleging it had violated both antitrust laws and his constitutional rights.
On June 4, 2014, Sterling's attorney Maxwell Blecher announced that Sterling had decided to not sue the NBA, and had agreed to allow the proposed $2 billion sale of the Clippers to Steve Ballmer. The sale is still pending approval by a majority vote of league owners.

The Clippers, Like Many NBA Teams, Have a Majority-Minority Fan Base
1:06 PMApr 29 By Nate Silver
In light of the racist remarks attributed to Donald Sterling, the Los Angeles Clippers owner, on Monday we looked at the demographics of the NBA’s owners and players. Finding demographic information on NBA fans turns out to be more difficult.
In 2013, 47 percent of NBA head coaches and 81 percent of players were non-white. It’s likely that the majority of NBA fans are racial or ethnic minorities as well, according to our analysis. And the Clippers, which play in the cosmopolitan Los Angeles market, likely have among the most diverse fan bases in the league.
There’s no definitive resource for the demographics of the NBA fan base. Nor is there any one definition of a fan. Those who attend NBA games are undoubtedly different from those who watch the NBA on TV, or who follow the NBA on the Internet, or who buy NBA merchandise, or who emulate their favorite NBA stars in pick-up games.

Wealth of Forbes 400 Billionaires Equals Wealth of All 41 Million African-Americans
Posted: 01/21/2014 10:27 am EST Updated: 03/23/2014 5:59 am EDT
Racial Wealth Divide Reaches New Heights
The billionaires that make up the Forbes 400 list have as much wealth as the entire African-American population of the U.S., over 41 million people, according to a new analysis by Bob Lord of the Institute for Policy Studies. Lord calls it "Dr. King's Nightmare."
In the aftermath of the 2008 economic meltdown, wealth owned by households of color declined dramatically, as home values collapsed, especially in urban areas. The wealth of the richest 1 percent also dropped, but rebounded quickly in subsequent years.
As Bob Lord writes at Inequality.org, "The net worth of just 400 billionaires, a group that could fit into a high school gym, is on par with the collective wealth of our more than 14 million African- American households. Both groups possess some $2 trillion, about three percent of our national net worth of $77 trillion."
The only U.S. African-American on the Forbes 400 list is Oprah Winfrey, who has a net worth of $2.9 billion, placing her 184th on the list. She is one of seven black billionaires in the whole world.

So, let me get this straight...
The majority of the people who are fans of the Clippers are the kind of people that Donald Sterling does not care for.
He's part of the small group of wealthy who have more money combined than 41 million blacks. (and this goes without saying, everyone else: http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2011/mar/10/michael-moore/michael-moore-says-400-americans-have-more-wealth-/ )
He says racists stuff, gets "fired" basically, and still comes out on top?
"but...but...his reputation is ruined."
Really?
Dude is worth $1.9 Billion as of April 2014, he was already in a league of Wealthy people who do not care about us.
Who really won this one?
You know something....
if I didn't know any better, I'd say this entire was setup to make him richer.
